What are the Safety Equipment Requirements?

We prioritize the safety of our Stewards and guests. All stays on Yonder are required to have the safety equipment, below.

This is mandatory to qualify for our Yonder Steward Guarantee.

 

Smoke Alarm

  • One in each room and in any common areas (hallways are okay)
  • Batteries should be replaced at least once per year (unless hardwired)
  • Alarms should be tested once a month
  • Alarms should be replaced within 10 years

 

Carbon Monoxide Alarm

  • One on each floor 5 feet from the ground
  • Batteries should be replaced at least once per year (unless hardwired)
  • Alarms should be tested once a month
  • Alarms should be replaced within 7 years

 

Fire Extinguisher

  • Should be located in a visible location (hallway, kitchen laundry room)
  • Should have one on each floor
  • Extinguishers should be replaced every 15 years
  • Check gauge monthly- if the needle is outside of green, replace immediately 

 

First Aid Kit

  • Should be kept in an easy-to-find location such as the kitchen or bathroom
  • Keep in either a high cabinet or childproof cabinet. 

A basic first aid kit should consist of the following (but not limited to):

  • Bandages, roller bandages, and tape
  • (Sterile) Gauze
  • Antiseptic wipes and swabs
  • Absorbent compresses
  • Antibiotic cream
  • Burn ointment
  • Mask for breathing (rescue breathing/CPR)
  • Chemical cold pack
  • Eyeshield and eyewash
  • First aid reference guide that includes local phone numbers
